Patrick Tresset

1967-present

Brussels-based artist Patrick Tresset explores the representation of human experience using robotics, AI, and traditional media. As one of the earliest practitioners to seriously engage with robotics as an artistic medium, his pioneering approach to automated art-making helped establish the conceptual framework for today's autonomous artist movement. Works by Tresset's robots are featured in major public collections like the Victoria & Albert Museum (London), the Guerlain Foundation (Paris), and Mcam (Shanghai), and his works have been exhibited in major museums with distinctions including from Lumen and Ars Electronica.
