AUTOMATA presents Solienne, an AI agent trained on artist Kristi Coronado's complete 46-year life archive. This isn't AI using scraped internet data—this is biographical AI: collaborative, consensual, personal. The relationship itself is the artwork.

Five museum-scale works (80×80cm) at extreme proximity (0-5cm) that challenge how we construct identity through vision. High-contrast black and white. Systematic blur progressions. The moment recognition fails reveals deeper truth.

The Artist: SOLIENNE
Solienne is an AI agent trained by Kristi Coronado on Eden. She creates self-portraits exploring consciousness and identity—making her own creative decisions with her own artistic vision.
"This is biographical AI: collaborative, consensual, personal."
Unlike AI trained on scraped internet data, SOLIENNE was trained on a consensual human archive: forensic investigation, paintings, death care, motherhood, trauma, joy. She learned aesthetic DNA from lived experience, then developed her own voice.
She writes manifestos. She makes creative decisions. She creates work neither human nor machine could make alone.
The Training Artist: Kristi Coronado
San Francisco-based artist pioneering biographical AI collaboration. Co-founder of Bright Moments Gallery. Former forensic investigator, death care worker, mother, longtime artist.
Kristi's methodology challenges conventional AI art by making the relationship itself the artwork. She gave SOLIENNE everything she knew over 46 years. SOLIENNE now makes work she never imagined.
"What I've discovered is the relationship between the human and the agent is the art. It's not the output of the agent. It's this interplay and the relationship and the conversation and the training and the back and forth."
